We are husband and wife team Dave and Sarah Evans and we live in Ohai, Southland. Having spent 14 years as Dairy Farmers in Canterbury and Waikato, we retired from Farming in 2020 . After working in the Handyman Industry in Hamilton and Waikato for the following two years, under a great encouraging mentor, we recognised that as a Team we could offer our own quality home repairs, maintenance and gardening services at a more realistic and reasonable price. We established Call Dave Handyman Services in 2023 knowing we wanted to relocate ourselves and our business to Southland.

We purchased our forever home in Ohai, Southland in January 2024 and have been working on renovating our miners cottage, and proudly offering our services to our local community since February 2024. It is the support we have received from our local community that has seen us take on our employee Nathan, who is a born and bred Southlander and lives here in Ohai.

We love our dogs (you may have seen us out and about in our van) and we take them with us wherever we go. They love "their van" and are generally on their best behavior on a work day.

We live local, we buy local and we employ from our local community. We love living and working in our little slice of paradise and we look forward to the future working for our community assisting with their home maintenance needs and helping make dreams come true.
